Swan Centre (Fabulous) February Fundraiser raises £536.83 for our Cars

On Saturday 22nd February 2020, Berwick’s Swan Centre for Leisure ran a charity fundraiser with proceeds being split between the Berwick & District Cancer Support Group and our friends at Hospice Care North Northumberland.

Representatives of our Cars were invited to The Swan Centre to (finally be able to!) say a big Berwick Cancer Cars ‘Thank You’ to Sarah Aisbet and her wonderful team for the tremendous efforts they all put in to support our charities and the community. Despite the inclement February weather, the Swan Centre Charity Event, which included a craft fair, tasty tray bakes and cakes, face painting and a raffle was well attended. On the day also – and going bravely (and painfully!) above and beyond – Swan Centre team members Dave and Leon both endured a sponsored ‘ultimate waxing experience’. Ouch! Thanks guys!!

During our ‘thank you’ visit Dave (pictured here) gave us a tour of the gym facilities and explained the very carefully thought out safety measures the centre have put into place prior to their much anticipated re-opening on Saturday 25th July 2020.
