Thank You Once Again to Roddam Court Residents!

Team Cancer Cars paid a visit to Marjorie Read and the residents of Roddam Court to say a massive thank you for raising a brilliant £2470 with this year’s Christmas lights display.

The hard work everyone puts in each year is phenomenal, three weeks to put the lights up, and two weeks to take them down! Even with the grand “switch on” being postponed due to horrific weather, they still managed to raise a fantastic amount.

A special thanks to Nessa Shell who rounded up her friends and neighbours to make cakes and sweet treats for a bake sale that they held at Roddam Court.

Also a big thank you to Jason Benzie for the beautifully handcrafted “Thank you” plaque, there is so much detail in it, and it will get used, hopefully for many years to come.

Not only do the lights help raise money for Cancer Cars, but the display is such a fantastic thing to do for the community, bringing smiles to the young and old.
