Kings Head £1200 Donation to our Cars

During the November 2020 nationwide lockdown, Kings Head supreme Quiz Master Simon Davidson set up an online quiz through their Facebook Page Event Page. Initially began as a quiz event for their pub regulars to keep the brains ticking over and prevent pandemic boredom setting in, Simon’s online weekly quizzes quickly became the stuff of legend, getting ever more brilliantly madcap, and attracting more and more participants, even as far as Northern Ireland.

When restrictions eased Kings Head owners Iain and Linda were once again able to host their pub get-togethers, and the team threw themselves into arranging (to name a few!) quiz nights, raffles, “Singo Bingo” and Murder Mystery events and raising money for local charities. The Kings Heads team raised in excess of £3000 and we were delighted to hear from our great friends and supporters Les and Christine Eke that we were to be presented with a cheque donation of £1200 for our Cars.

We popped along to say a BIG Berwick Cancer Cars thank you to ‘mine hosts’ Iain and Linda Stewart, and to the amazing Simon and Laura for their tremendous fundraising support and for keeping everyone thoroughly entertained during a very difficult few months.

I can confirm that there will once again be a MONSTER CHRISTMAS EVENT come December and soooooo much in the meantime. Valentine, Easter, Halloween specials again as well as stacks of other stuff too.”
