New Car ‘Russell’ Named
When it comes to naming our cars, we take great pride in being able to choose a name fitting to honour, appreciate and sometimes to remember our fantastic supporters and fundraisers. On Saturday we took delivery of our latest fleet member ‘Russell’. Named in memory of Russell Toward who sadly, recently passed away. Russell was an amazing supporter of our cause and cars. An active member of The Plundering Pirates of the North East Russell went beyond their fundraising activities and hosted many ‘extra’ events, all in aid of our cars. We are proud and thank the family for allowing us to grace our new car with Russell’s name continuing his memory. Please share some love for Russell as he starts his journey taking our friends for Cancer Care Treatment. Our Chairman, Andrew, meeting today with the ‘Captain’ and Russell’s brother Graham, his wife Carol and Sister Tracy gave a great sense of pride in knowing Russell and remembering all he has done. Unfortunately, Covid restrictions limited our numbers but I am sure all the other ‘crewmates’ were there in spirit.Safe travels Russell. Thank you for your friendship, support and camaraderie and we look forward to saying your name with fond memories. Many thanks once again Guy and the team at Tweedmouth Service Station for providing the car and SWP Engineering Services Ltd for keeping us on the road by fitting ‘Russell’ with a screen to keep our drivers and clients Covid-Safe!
