Berwick Cancer Cars - Salmon and Blues

Our tremendous thanks again to our very talented friends, The Salmon City Blues Band, for their continued and generous support. Neill Berry Snr (band guitar and vocals) recently presented our Treasurer, David Cowan, and our Secretary, Shona McClymont, with £500 raised from takings of a number of live gigs performed in the latter part of 2021. The band were supported by a number of local venues : The Joiners Shop Bunkhouse in Preston, The Plough on the Hill, The Radio Rooms, the Fishers Arms Horncliffe and the Horncliffe Memorial Hall, as well as a private wedding function.

The Salmon City Blues Band are Berwick based comprising of local musicians: Nick Allmark, lead guitar and vocals, Neill Berry, guitar and vocals, Michael Peel, lead and Rhythm guitar, Ray Weatherburn, bass guitar, Lenny Johnson, drums and vocals and ‘Wall’ Wallace vocals and harmonica. The band’s name originated from the days of CB radio when Berwick-Upon-Tweed was known as ‘Salmon City’.  Visit the band’s website and follow/like their Facebook page to find out more about them (and their dedicated fan club “The Salmonettes”!) and to get details of their up-and-coming gigs.
