Coastal Grains ‘Tasty Treats’ Raise £1500 for ours Cars!

The office staff at Coastal Grains Ltd in Belford have raised an amazing £3000 since the start of 2021 through the sale of home-made cakes, biscuits, jams and savouries, splitting the proceeds between Berwick Cancer Cars and our friends at HospiceCare North Northumberland. We have it on good authority Caroline’s home-made quiches are SO popular they receive advanced orders! The staff also took part in sponsored Crossword Challenges and the owner of the on-site ‘snack wagon’ also kindly contributed money into the charity box.

When contacting us Katherine said of the donation “Despite another difficult year of lockdowns, COVID-19 restrictions and health precautions all our Coastal Grains visitors, members, hauliers, farmers and staff have supported our fundraising efforts and have again eaten their way through plenty of goodies all for your good cause. We hope this amount will go some way towards supporting the vital work you do helping families in the local area.”

We popped along with one of our Cars, Russell, to meet the Coastal Grains office team to say our thanks and to purchase for ourselves some of their home-made bakes – we can verify their cakes and biscuits are DELICIOUS, and not to be missed if you’re ever passing their Belford site on Station Road !!
