Coffee Morning in Memory of Ann Purvey Raises £443

We had the honour of helping our dear friend Ann Purvey during her Cancer journey and she became very popular with our volunteers. Today we attended a coffee morning organised by her family at The Glendale Hall in Wooler in her memory and took along one of our cars, ‘Pearl’. The attendance was amazing and the high spirits everyone had is a testament to the woman Ann was. The money raised was split between us and Ward 1 at Berwick Infirmary. Ann’s Son, Karl Wilkington, Daughter, Sarah Short and Grandchildren, Abbie and Ethan presented us with £443 to bring back to our cars. How amazing Ann is still helping us fill our petrol tanks!

You will see Karl is sporting a very glamorous outfit! Yes, he is the new Baywatch Babe, giving us a glimpse of what we are to expect when he runs into The North Sea for us on Boxing Day. Brilliant!

Thank you to Ann’s Family and people of Wooler for your past and present support. Unfortunately we are helping an increasing number of people from Wooler. We would love nothing more than to have a quiet week, that would mean there are no poorly people but life doesn’t work like that. In the meantime, we are here for anyone in The Berwick & District Area who has a confirmed Cancer diagnoses and needs us.
