Gillian ‘Runs The Raid’ on Holy Island

In August 2024 our dear friend Gillian Darling took on a new Half Marathon in aid of our charity, ‘Run the Raid on Holy Island’. This new Half Marathon organised by the fabulous Flyde Coast Runners gave running enthusiasts from all over the UK a chance to see our breath taking coastal beauty. The run started at Spittal Point and ended at Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island. Gillian isn’t a stranger to running for our charity having ran the GNR many times and was in fact the first person to ever run The Great North Run for us back in 2009. We were delighted to accept £325 from Gillian from her loyal sponsors.
