On Wednesday 4th May, Pot-A-Doodle Do hosted a Gin Tasting Night, and what a fantastic success it was. Owner Christine Whiteford, and Manager Anne McGregor are such great supporters of charities and regularly organises fundraising events at Pot-A-Doodle Do, so we were delighted to hear they had an event planned for our Cars! On the night attendees received a double gin of their choice with tonic, also included was a finger buffet. As well as the gin tasting the Pot-A-Doodle Do team organised a raffle and in total raised an amazing £1415!
Many thanks to all those who attended the event in support of Berwick Cancer Cars (we hear it was quite a night!!) Pot-A-Doodle Do staff members Megan and Zoe did a great job looking after everyone and they both said it was great fun! When we heard that Anne and two girls would all be on shift together we popped along to say a big thank you to them. Pictured with Pot-A-Doodle Do manager, Anne McGregor, is our Safe Guarding Officer Nicola Warren and, gratefully receiving the £1415 cheque donation, is our Chair Andrew Smith alongside Zoe Blyth and Megan Bruce (…Syd, Elsie and Dave went along on the promise of walkies at nearby Cocklawburn Beach afterwards!)
Our special thanks to the Pot-A-Doodle Do team, their generous donation really makes such a difference, enabling us to continue the work of our volunteers to assist those with cancer in the Berwick & District community to reach their cancer related appointments.
