Tweedmouth Bowling Club Killer Bowls Events Raise £2400

Tweedmouth Bowling Club held their annual Ladies Killer Bowls evening on Saturday 19th August, devised by and in memory of Carol Ditchfield, a much loved member of the club and supporter of Berwick Cancer Cars. Bowlers and non bowlers had a fun filled evening on a sunny green, with a final being played by Angela Winson, Angeline Welsh, Margaret Laidlaw, Betty Dryden, Susan Lee and Shona McClymont. Angeline was the worthy winner of the trophy presented by David Wakenshaw. The amazing amount of £875 was raised on the evening, with another £375 raised at the surprise party for Trevor Atkins 70th Birthday by Isabel Wittland – both members of the Club. Enormous thanks to Betty, Margaret, Irene and Wakey, and to Trevor and Issy for all their hard work and generosity, and to all who came and supported us. Carol would be so proud of you all.

The total amount for the ladies evening so far is £1250, and £1150 for the gents evening so £2400 will be donated to Berwick Cancer Cars. A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the events and organisation.
