Carol’s ‘Lockdown Bingo’ raises £1500 for our cars!

During the last few months our friend and client, Carol Ditchfield has been doing something quite remarkable for the people of West End, Berwick and indeed The District. Carol has been running ‘West End Saturday Lockdown Bingo’. Obviously these events have been strictly controlled by Carol and her fabulous team of helpers and they safely ended the run raising a massive £1500 for our cars. Carol initially thought she would only be able to raise a few hundred pounds.

What is more remarkable about this great effort is Carol is currently going through treatment of her own and still thinking of others during these tough times. Carol has had her Mum, Maureen Ditchfield by her side, relentlessly baking and helping in any way she can with ‘Wakey’, Pat Cleghorn, Betty Dryden, Irene Mavin and Margaret Laidlaw all chipping in to help.We would have loved to share a big ‘group hug’ photo but because of the restrictions we unfortunately couldn’t, but we’re sure you know how much we appreciate everyone who has donated to make this a success.£1500 is going to help so many of our clients Carol and will just add to the many times you have organised and raised money for our cars over the years.

We can’t thank you enough for the community spirit you have created during this pandemic and the smiles you have put on our faces.
