North East Mobility Solutions Generous Wheelchair Donation
We are absolutely delighted to announce Mike Jones, Company Director of North East Mobility Solutions, has donated THREE wheelchairs to our Cars. Mike’s support has been amazing and he recently hosted two informative, hands on training sessions for our team of volunteer drivers to get to know the wheelchair equipment and to ask questions about their use. We were then totally bowled over when Mike got in contact to say he wanted to donate three wheelchairs to us, and to provide us with much needed lighter, modern replacements to our old ‘trusty’ NHS wheelchair.
Our Vice Chair, Gillian Mitchell, who is also a Cancer Cars driver and attended one of Mike’s wheelchair training sessions said “Mike’s incredibly thoughtful and generous donation of three new wheelchairs, two 18″ and one 20″, is a tremendous boost to our service for when our clients tell us they need mobility assistance. We are truly grateful to Mike and his team at North East Mobility Solutions”.
At our wheelchair training sessions Mike so kindly said of our Cars “Having lived in Berwick since I was at school it’s brilliant to be able to offer the support to a local based charity. I have watched Berwick Cancer Cars grow over the years and all the amazing volunteers giving up their time. Myself and the whole team at North East Mobility Solutions are super proud to be able to offer the support and training to Berwick Cancer Cars.”
If any of our clients need wheelchair assistance our Coordinators will take their details ahead of their journey with us so that we can insure we have a trained driver and the most suitable wheelchair available for their needs.
