Buckingham Palace Garden Party
As part of our very special 30th anniversary year celebrations, Berwick Cancer Cars is very proud that our Chair, Andrew Smith, received an invitation from Buckingham Palace to attend today’s Royal Garden Party. Accompanying Andrew to this most special of occasions was our Vice Chair, Gillian Mitchell.
Representing her majesty the Queen were Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, joined by Prince Edward and Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and the Queen’s cousin, Princess Alexandra.
Our Chair, Andrew said of the day – “Being invited to such a prestigious event during her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year is such a great honour. Gillian and I have enjoyed a thoroughly fantastic day representing Berwick Cancer Cars and speaking of the great work the good people of Berwick and District allow us to do.”
Our Vice Chair, Gillian, added – “A fantastic experience surrounded by people who by their very presence represent their commitment to serve people and communities. I’m very proud that our charity does exactly that and makes such a difference to peoples lives.”
